Let me start out by congratulating Sung Hyun Park for winning the Indy Women In tech Championship. Park finished regulation play tied with Lizette Salas at 23 under par. When Park birdied the first playoff hole, she had her third victory of the season.

It has been a very strange year for Sung Hyun Park. She is tied for the LPGA lead with Ariya Jutanugarn with three wins this year. The strange part is that she has managed just four top ten finishes. That ranks 21st on tour. Ariya Jutanugarn leads the LPGA with 13 top ten finishes. Park has also missed six cuts in 17 starts this year (35.3%), an extremely high percentage for a player of her caliber. That said, wins are the most important statistic and she certainly knows how to accumulate them.

This week the LPGA travels to Canada for the playing of the CP Women's Open. Sung Hyun Park will be trying to defend the title she won last year, when her final round sixty-four was good enough to win by two strokes over Mirim Lee.

Players Most Likely to Win: (Top players in the field)
1- Sung Hyun Park - She could win or miss the cut. Which player will show up?
2- Ariya Jutanugarn - The best player this year will be trying to regain the number 1 spot.
3- Lexi Thompson - Can she get that elusive first win of the year? Or a better question might be, "Can she avoid another penalty?"

Players to Watch Out For: (I'm feeling it this week)
1- Brooke Henderson - She will win this open eventually, why not this week?
2- Minjee Lee - Will be dangerous coming off a rare missed cut.
3- Shanshan Feng - Overdue to get her first win this year.

Longshot Picks: (Not likely, but not impossible)
1- Carlota Ciganda - Has played well most of the year.
2- Marina Alex - Don't overlook this player.
3- Brittany Marchand - This Canadian is a real longshot.

Other Tidbits:
The last 16 LPGA events have resulted in 7 playoffs. Four other during that period have been decided by one stroke.
Sung Hyun Park becomes the third player this year to cross the 1 million dollar mark in 2018 official earnings. She joins Ariya Jutanugarn and So Yeon Ryu. Jutanugarn has already crossed the 2 million dollar mark.

Rolex Rankings Movers of the Week:
Sung Hyun Park takes over the top spot this week for the second time in her young career. She moves up from #3 to #1. Lizette Salas jumps up from #27 to #22, and Mi Hyang Lee leaps up from #58 to #52.

Race to the CME Globe:   (1 million dollars)
Ariya Jutanugarn continues to have a huge lead with 3,413 points. Minjee Lee is a distant second with 2,199 points. Sung Hyun Park moves into third place with 2,003. They are followed by Moriya Jutanugarn (1,964), Jin Young Ko (1,939) and Brooke Henderson (1,870).

Who's Hot:
Ariya Jutanugarn has finished 1st, 4th, and 7th in her last three starts. Brooke Henderson has finished 3rd, 11th, and 7th in her last three starts.

Who's Not:
Haru Nomura's missed cut this past week was her 9th in 16 starts. She does not have a top 30 finish this year.
Mirim Lee has just one top ten this year and has missed eight cuts.

This Week's Trivia Question:
Although this tournament has been played since 2001, there have been only two multiple winners. Can you name them?
