Let me start out today by giving a huge congratulations to Brooke Henderson for winning the CP Women's Open. Brooke entered the final round with a 1 stroke lead and had to hold off some of the best players in the world. Midway through the round she had top players Sung Hyun Park and Nasa Hataoka just one shot behind her. Ariya Jutanugarn was just one shot further back. Brooke then took things into her own hands, birdying the 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, and 18th holes. She would win by four strokes over runner-up Angel Yin. It was Brooke's seventh LPGA victory in just under three years on tour!

This week the LPGA travels to the state of Oregon for the playing of the Cambia Portland Classic. Founded in 1972, this tournament is the oldest continuous event on the LPGA tour.
Stacy Lewis won this tournament in 2017, but will not be able to defend this year as she is out on maternity leave.

The field will be led by top ten players: So Yeon Ryu, Lexi Thompson, Shanshan Feng, Minjee Lee, Brooke Henderson, and Georgia Hall. Players skipping the event this week include: Sung Hyun Park, Ariya and Moriya Jutanugarn, Inbee Park, I.K. Kim, Jessica and Nelly Korda, and Jin-Young Ko.
